Thank you to all those who attended the Memorial Day events over the weekend.Help keep our local beaches clean and safe for use. With beach season upon us, the Health Department asks everyone to please clean up and properly dispose of dog waste near the waterfront and beaches, as well as near any storm drains (which eventually empty water into local waterways). The attached photos show the branch in the road, and Tree Warden Andy Swanson handling the clean-up. Public works crews cleared a large tree branch from Beechwood Street this week after it was hit by a tractor-trailer. ![]() The attached photo shows the egg drop in progress (photo courtesy of Justin Shrair). A good time was had by all the students (and most of the eggs). Cohasset Firefighters then tested each device by releasing them from the top of the ladder truck. It was an “Eggcellent” day at the Deer Hill School this past Thursday as students took part in the Annual Egg Drop. Students designed and put together all kinds of fascinating contraptions to protect their eggs from breaking after being dropped from a substantial height. ![]() Please see the attached flyer for the zoom link. The study, which looked at flooding concerns around Cohasset Cove, the Gulf River, and the James Brook Watershed was completed by the Woods Hole Group and funded by a state grant.
